Quality Engineer

Primary Services is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer for a growing manufacturing organization in Fort Worth, TX or Tulsa, OK.

About the role

This position will have responsibility for the site Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 9001:2015 compliance, quality improvement initiatives, and root cause/corrective action activities. The Quality Engineer will work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams and provide guidance to plant-level Quality Inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the site Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain ISO 9001:2015 compliance
• Lead root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities
• Drive CAPA/PCCA and continuous improvement initiatives
• Investigate production and product quality issues and implement corrective actions
• Analyze quality and defect data to identify trends and prevent recurrence
• Review engineering designs, processes, procedures, testing requirements, and quality documentation
• Ensure products meet engineering specifications and quality requirements
• Lead cross-functional quality improvement initiatives
• Oversee First Article Inspections (FAIs) and inspection priorities
• Maintain accurate and detailed quality and FAI documentation
• Support and guide plant-level Quality Inspectors
• Partner with Production, Engineering, and other internal teams to continuously improve quality performance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
• 3–5+ years of Quality Engineering experience; 5–10 years preferred
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015
• Working knowledge of RCCA/root cause methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively across Production, Engineering, and Quality teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership or supervisory experience
• Internal Auditor certification
• SAP experience
