Quality Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer with a strong background in manufacturing processes, specifically aerospace machining and related operations. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for ensuring quality requirements are accurately communicated and implemented across job travelers, blueprints, 3D models, and technical specifications. This position also plays a key role in implementing root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconforming material.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document inspection and test instructions, identifying new quality processes or inspection techniques

• Interpret blueprints and technical specifications

• Review job travelers and work instructions to ensure proper flow-down of quality requirements

• Analyze quality-related costs and drive continuous improvement through root cause and corrective actions

• Apply statistical process control techniques to monitor and improve processes

Requirements

• A technical degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering, or 5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer

• Must be a U.S. Person

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate in a team environment

• Forward-thinking and innovative mindset with a passion for problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

• Experience in the aerospace industry

• Familiarity with NX and CATIA 3D CAD software

• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes
