Quality Engineer
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer with a strong background in manufacturing processes, specifically aerospace machining and related operations. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for ensuring quality requirements are accurately communicated and implemented across job travelers, blueprints, 3D models, and technical specifications. This position also plays a key role in implementing root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconforming material.
Responsibilities
Develop and document inspection and test instructions, identifying new quality processes or inspection techniques
Interpret blueprints and technical specifications
Review job travelers and work instructions to ensure proper flow-down of quality requirements
Analyze quality-related costs and drive continuous improvement through root cause and corrective actions
Apply statistical process control techniques to monitor and improve processes
Requirements
A technical degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering, or 5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer
Must be a U.S. Person
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate in a team environment
Forward-thinking and innovative mindset with a passion for problem-solving
Preferred Qualifications
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
Experience in the aerospace industry
Familiarity with NX and CATIA 3D CAD software
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes
