We are a fast-paced business with ambitious growth plans. Ontic is a leading global aerospace OEM trusted by the world’s aviation leaders. The Creedmoor, NC site is home to specialist companies within the Ontic Group, including Firstmark, Twin Commander, and Metro Merlin. With over 1,300 employees across four time zones and seven sites, we have more than doubled in size since 2019 and continue to grow. This is an onsite position in Creedmoor, North Carolina, reporting to the Quality Engineering Supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in quality assurance, engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in aerospace quality engineering or a related field
- Strong understanding of AS9100 aerospace quality standards and FAA regulations
- Experience with ISO 9001 and other quality standards
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles and practices
- Demonstrated ability in problem-solving tools such as: 8D, 5-Why, A3, Ishikawa
- Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly competent in Microsoft-based office and project tools
- Aerospace flight-critical application experience preferred
- J-STD-001 knowledge/understanding preferred
- Must meet export control compliance requirements as a “U.S. Person” (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee)
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality standards for aerospace products and processes
- Develop and document quality procedures and work instructions
- Ensure that the company's products and processes meet all applicable standards and regulations
- Conduct inspections and audits of aerospace products and processes
- Resolve quality issues and ensure corrective actions are taken
- Work with other departments to ensure the company meets all applicable safety and regulatory requirements
- Manage customer complaints/return material authorization (RMA) process
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in aerospace quality
- Continuously improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS)

Pay Range: $75,000–$90,000/year based on experience
