About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join a well-established manufacturer specializing in automotive and aerospace components. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the quality standards of the company's manufacturing processes. You will work within a dedicated team to oversee inspections, develop quality assurance procedures, and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control and process improvement, with the ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Qualifications

• Proven track record as a quality engineer or quality control specialist, with experience in the manufacturing sector.
• Ability to read technical drawings and utilize measurement equipment effectively.
• Background in design or component manufacturing, with specific experience in aerospace, automotive, or defense industries.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO9001 and AS9100 is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to quality assurance.
• Commutable to Slough (serious relocators will also be considered).

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on quality inspections of components and assemblies to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality processes and procedures aligned with industry standards such as ISO9001 and AS9100.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Review technical drawings and measurement data to verify product compliance.
• Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities related to quality issues.
• Conduct supplier quality audits and support incoming inspection procedures.
• Document quality metrics and prepare reports for management review.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
