Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Serve as the quality representative embedded within the Lowell Foundry, supporting manufacturing operations and process improvement initiatives.
- Review process and product controls, identify gaps, and drive corrective and preventive actions to improve process capability, product quality, and operational performance.
- Partner with Foundry Operations, Process Engineering, and Quality teams to address manufacturing issues that may impact product performance, process repeatability, yield, or customer commitments.
- Support investigations of customer quality issues with probable manufacturing or process-related root causes and facilitate effective corrective actions.
- Work directly with suppliers to ensure compliance of incoming materials with applicable specifications, requirements, and quality expectations.
- Participate in process change reviews and provide quality guidance for manufacturing, process, and material-related changes.
- Support internal audit activities, quality system initiatives, and continuous improvement activities to strengthen overall process and quality performance.
- Utilize data analysis and statistical methods to monitor process performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Develop and maintain quality tools, metrics, and reporting that support informed decision-making and proactive quality management.
- Communicate quality concerns, risks, and improvement opportunities to cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Promote the use of quality engineering principles and best practices throughout the organization.
Qualifications And Skills
- BS or MS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, process engineering, quality engineering, or a related technical role.
- Understanding of semiconductor devices and semiconductor processing.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment with cross-functional engineering and operations teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify improvement opportunities.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process Capability Analysis, Design of Experiments (DOE), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plans, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience using statistical analysis software such as JMP, Minitab, or equivalent tools.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100D, IATF 16949, MIL-STD-883, and/or MIL-STD-750 standards.
- Experience supporting supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or semiconductor process improvement initiatives.
