Responsibilities
- Identify data requirements and implement data collection processes necessary for accurate assessment of product and process capability, identify trends, and implement solutions.
- Investigate internal quality concerns, lead root cause analysis activities using structured problem-solving tools, implement preventive and corrective actions, and verify results.
- Support daily production activities, partnering with the team to improve quality, reduce scrap and rework, and reduce downtime.
- Ensure containment actions and sorting/auditing requirements are effectively implemented as necessary.
- Participate in internal and external audits, support the team in ensuring the quality management system is effective, and compliance with standards is maintained.
- Train/mentor quality technicians and production operators in inspection standards, critical characteristics, and quality specifications.
- Assist in new product launch activities (i.e. PPAP, PFMEA, DFMEA, Run-at-Rate, etc.).
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data using quality tools such as SPC, Cp/Cpk, MSA, etc.
- Ensure KPIs are met by working to the overall plan.
- Adhere to workplace safety regulations.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or other related field.
- GD&T certification.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Quality Assurance in the automotive manufacturing industry, preferably specializing in Class A surfaces.
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- Experienced problem solver and team builder.
- Experience developing processes, work instructions, quality alerts, and root cause analysis presentations for internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Working knowledge of customer and supplier systems.
- Knowledge of Material Data System.
- Proven experience dealing with customers and suppliers.
