Quality Engineer
About the role
Kelly Engineering is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer for a 1 year contract position with a global medical device leader in Houston, TX. The Quality Engineer will lead and support improvement and remediation initiatives related to metrology and calibration programs. The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise in regulated manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead remediation efforts in metrology and calibration programs to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
- Establish consistent quality strategies, acceptance criteria, and documentation requirements across similar equipment types to reduce variability, improve efficiency, streamline maintenance, and strengthen compliance with quality system requirements.
- Create and execute a Quality Plan for reassessment of all equipment, leveraging established processes, identifying resources, setting milestones, and mitigating risks.
- Develop, revise, and review calibration procedures, impact assessments, deviations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and risk assessments.
- Standardize Quality Procedures and Equipment Assessments to create a repeatable, risk-based approach for critical equipment management.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Quality experience in the Medical Device industry
- Knowledge of dimensional metrology, measurement system analysis, and calibration principles.
