Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the quality plan, including CAPA, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
• Collect, analyze and summarize data from quality inspections, identifying and addressing root causes of product problems.
• Use problem-solving tools such as fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys, 8D’s, or other methods to get to the root cause of quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with ISO9001 / AS9100.
• Review inspections according to J-STD-001 and/or IPC 61 standards.
• Review and interpret EE and Mechanical Drawings and Schematics to identify potential quality issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is maintained throughout the engineering process.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the organization to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Provide training and support to team members on quality-related matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Quality Engineering, preferably in the Aerospace Industry.
• Proven experience with CAPA, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
• Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze and summarize data from quality inspections, and to identify and address root causes of product problems.
• Familiarity with problem-solving tools such as fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys, 8D’s, or other methods.
• Experience with ISO9001 or AS9100 quality standards.
• Experience performing inspections to J-STD-001 and/or IPC 61 standards (preferred).
• Ability to interpret EE and Mechanical Drawings and Schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Pay

$80,000 – $120,000 per year
