About the role
The Quality Engineer provides quality-assurance support to the product-development team, resolves defects, and ensures products meet engineering specifications.
This position guides the work duties of plant-level Quality Inspectors.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and drive compliance with the site Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed QMS compliance into daily operations and support continuous improvement.
- Review design plans, process procedures, test procedures, and quality manuals to understand product scope, requirements, and function.
- Ensure products meet organizational and customer quality and integrity requirements.
- Lead Root-Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), and Process Control Corrective Action (PCCA) initiatives to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Identify root causes of production problems; recommend and implement corrective measures.
- Analyze data to detect trends in product quality or defects, aiming to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain site ISO 9001:2015 certification requirements.
- Oversee Quality Management lot and First Article Inspections (FAI) using First-In-First-Out (FIFO) or inspection-priority criteria via the SAP platform.
- Generate detailed, practical FAI records and ensure they are stored for future review.
- Work collaboratively with production and the Quality Team to manage site-level QMS.
- Lead cross-functional teams to advance Quality Improvement initiatives and achieve a world-class QMS.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Three to five years of Quality Engineer experience; five to ten years preferred.
- Education and working knowledge of RCCA methodologies, root-cause analysis, and Quality Improvement principles.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management and problem-solving.
- Willingness to learn and adapt for successful site-level QMS management.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Extensive knowledge of production processes or ability to learn quickly.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with developers, project managers, and customer support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Internal Auditor certification strongly preferred.
- SAP experience strongly preferred.
- Supervision and leadership experience preferred.
