Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve quality control systems and procedures for lighting products and components.
- Review and update controlled documents with internal departments.
- Monitor operations, supplier, and customer metrics. Take containment and corrective actions based on nonconformance events and trends in metrics.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions related to internal, supplier, and customer nonconformances.
- Support internal quality management audits as well as corporate social responsibility audits.
- Monitor supplier capability and compliance by conducting in-person and virtual audits.
- Review first article and PPAP data from suppliers and work with engineering to determine compliance or corrective action.
- Participate in cross-functional teams on process optimization and cost reduction kaizens.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program
- 3 - 5 years of experience and achievement working for a manufacturing organization as a quality engineer. Similar roles and work experience will be considered.
- Computer proficiency - Knowledge with MS Suite products.
- Familiarity with quality system and process standards; including ISO9001.
- Working knowledge and experience with quality system and process standards; including ISO9001.
- Familiarity with 7QC tools and quality methodologies (e.g. Ishikawa, Pareto, FMEA, PPAP, SPC).
- Blueprint and specification reading.
- Use of measurement tools and inspection methods.
Pay
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 starting base plus bonus
