A Day in the Life

• Review internal and external quality data for assigned product groups to drive product and process improvements.
• Collaborate with plant engineers and line technicians to improve production processes, ensuring quality is built into products and increasing output.
• Spend the majority of the day on the production floor auditing processes, implementing quality assurance/quality control measures, and supporting assigned product groups.
• Engage in diverse tasks, from firefighting production issues to deep-diving into quality data to identify and address significant corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Quality Manager to develop and implement quality assurance and quality control procedures.
• Spend 95% of the workday on the manufacturing floor implementing quality solutions and working on major projects.
• Take total responsibility for product quality, including procured and in-house parts, assembly processes, functional testing, and packaging.
• Maintain a continuous improvement mentality with a focus on Kaizen (small, incremental improvements).
• Perform quality audits, inspections, and support staff with quality-related questions.
• Organize and present audit findings in a measurable manner to initiate corrective actions.
• Review manufacturing and quality instructions, methods, and processes to improve product build quality.
• Work with the Quality Manager to manage the Quality Management System (QMS) for third-party audit organizations.
• Report directly to the Quality Manager for your facility.

Requirements

• 0-10 years of experience.
• 4-year technical degree in an electrical, electronics, or mechanically oriented curriculum.
• Internship/co-op experience is preferred.
• Must enjoy hands-on product exposure.
• Electrical skills and experience required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software is a must.
• Strong multi-tasking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Commitment to perfect product quality and maintaining a safe work environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work standing for extended periods of time.
• Required to use ladders, forklifts, or other means to acquire parts for product assembly.
• Able to use power and hand tools, as well as electrical testing and measuring equipment.
• Ability to lift 35 to 50 pounds independently.

Pay

$65k–$90k base salary, negotiable based on experience, with additional monthly bonuses based on productivity and profits.
