Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical quality resource for manufacturing, supporting stable, capable, and compliant production processes.
- Drive process stabilization and continuous improvement through use of Quality and Six Sigma tools, including SPC, root cause analysis, 8D, and capability analysis.
- Support manufacturing in meeting quality, cost, and delivery objectives, with focus on scrap reduction, rework elimination, and first-pass yield improvement.
- Lead and support APQP activities, including development and maintenance of Control Plans, PFMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, and Inspection Plans to prevent defects and reduce process variation.
- Investigate internal and customer quality issues, implement effective containment, and lead cross-functional teams in identifying root causes and sustainable corrective actions.
- Ensure timely, accurate completion of 8D documentation and alignment with customer and internal expectations.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, industry standards, and customer-specific requirements in daily operations.
- Develop, manage, and execute quality improvement action plans and support audit readiness and corrective actions.
- Actively support and model Brazeway’s mission, vision, Code of Conduct, Process-Based Leadership principles, and 5S + Safety culture.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Degree in Engineering, and 3-5 years’ experience with quality in a manufacturing environment or equivalent are required.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred.
- Basic knowledge of traditional quality tools such as SPC, capability analysis, MSA, 5-Why, PPAP and common gauging practices.
- Demonstrate effective usage of advanced problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams in effective problem solving.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong project management and planning abilities.
- Demonstrated discipline and consistency regarding adherence to established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Good written and oral communication skills to independently prepare and deliver presentations.
- Ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
- PC application skills including Microsoft Office, MiniTab.
- Strong commitment to a team environment.
