About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Project Quality Engineer (m/w/d) for our Jülich location, with immediate effect. The role is responsible for quality‑assurance processes within the pipe manufacturing segment, developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards and management systems to ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards. The engineer will act as a key interface between internal teams and external stakeholders, analyze project‑specific quality requirements, and ensure all processes meet the highest quality standards. Responsibilities include early identification of quality deviations, managing complaints, leading continuous‑improvement initiatives, supporting internal audits, and facilitating certification procedures.

Qualifications

• Completed engineering degree or technical qualification combined with relevant professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of quality‑management methods such as APQP, 8D, FMEA, and continuous‑improvement techniques.
• Several years of experience in project execution, preferably in quality assurance or technical fields related to pipeline or plant construction.
• Proficiency in ISO 9001 standards and a thorough understanding of quality systems.
• Additional knowledge of industry‑specific standards such as ASME codes (BPV and B31.3) is advantageous.
• Proactive approach, excellent organizational skills, reliability, and strong teamwork abilities.
• Auditor certification is desirable.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Represent quality assurance (QA) within the pipe fabrication segment, ensuring adherence to quality standards and customer requirements.
• Develop, establish, and continuously improve quality standards, management systems, and control processes.
• Analyze and evaluate customer requirements and project‑specific quality specifications, coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
• Review process and quality documentation to verify compliance with defined standards and specifications.
• Identify quality deviations early, managing corrective actions for defective products, documents, and services.
• Manage customer complaints efficiently, leading structured problem‑solving processes such as the 8D methodology.
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct internal audits, deriving appropriate improvement measures from audit findings.
• Support and facilitate certification and approval processes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
