Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform part inspections of machine components
• Maintain inspection sheets and ensure technicians have correct information (drawings, check sheets, write up forms)
• Determines whether test results are acceptable or not
• Communicate those results and hold equipment as necessary
• Check and determine corrective actions for outgoing products
• Analyze plant complaints and work with the team to provide root cause analysis
• Make simple drawing edits (Autocad, Inventor)
• Perform basic maintenance on lab equipment
• Assist in developing quality control procedures and practices
• Final sign off and tagging of equipment prior to shipment
• Develop and maintain work instructions for repairs
• Support engineering projects as required

Job Skills

• Advanced math skills
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment
• Good decision making skills
• Problem solving skills / Root cause analysis experience (5 Why, A3, 8D)
• Teamwork experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, etc)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Small project management

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
• Preferred: 4+ years of experience in Quality Control and/or Continuous Improvement
• Polyworks

Physical Requirements

• Able to travel up to 15%
• Able to lift 50 lbs
