Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across quality systems to enhance product and process performance.
• Manage nonconforming materials through the MRB process and drive effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Develop and maintain control plans, PFMEAs, and other quality documentation to support robust manufacturing processes.
• Support new product launches to ensure smooth and controlled transfer from development into production.
• Conduct internal quality audits, document findings, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
• Partner closely with operations, engineering, and suppliers to investigate and resolve quality issues.
• Implement poka-yoke solutions and other proactive quality processes to prevent defects and improve first-pass yield.
• Apply root cause analysis and lean principles to reduce waste, improve flow, and sustain process improvements.

Requirements

• 1–5+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with quality engineering practices and methodologies.
• Knowledge of ISO-based quality management systems.
• Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving tools.
• Familiarity with lean principles such as 5S and Kaizen.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Knowledge of production processes and how they impact product quality.
• Experience with PPAP or similar production part approval processes.
• Ability to develop and interpret control plans and PFMEAs.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with operations, engineering, and suppliers.
