Quality Engineer
Responsibilities
- Lead PPAP submissions, engineering changes, prototype builds, and customer approvals.
- Prepare and submit quality documentation through customer portals.
- Support tooling transfers, equipment launches, and production readiness activities.
- Develop and maintain Control Plans, PFMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, inspection plans, and quality records.
- Review supplier PPAP packages and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Investigate quality concerns, drive corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct Layered Process Audits (LPAs) and support IATF quality standards.
- Provide hands-on quality support for production layouts, launch activities, and manufacturing readiness efforts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience within automotive manufacturing.
- Extensive hands-on experience developing and submitting complete PPAP packages.
- Strong understanding of customer quality requirements and customer portal submissions.
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, MSA, SPC, and Corrective Action Methodologies.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related technical discipline preferred.
- Automotive stamping, welding, or assembly experience.
- Experience supporting structural automotive components or vehicle frame/body systems.
- Familiarity with IATF, ISO, Layered Process Audits (LPA), TPM initiatives.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Work Environment
This position primarily supports second-shift production and launch activities, with traditional hours from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. However, flexible scheduling is available, accommodating shifts such as 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM, or 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM. The role is initially a 6-12 month contract, with the possibility of transitioning to a direct position depending on need.
