Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of an ISO 9001-compliant Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Conduct QMS gap assessments and create implementation roadmaps for certification readiness.
  • Establish and manage document control processes, including procedures, work instructions, and revision control.
  • Develop and execute internal audit programs, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate Management Review meetings and track quality KPIs, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare for and support external audits and ISO certification activities.
  • Own Supplier Quality processes including supplier qualification, onboarding, audits, scorecards, and performance metrics.
  • Lead supplier and internal corrective actions utilizing 8D, A3, 5 Why, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
  • Develop incoming inspection plans, sampling plans, and acceptance criteria.
  • Drive quality improvements through SPC, MSA, capability studies, trend analysis, and data-driven decision making.
  • Support new product introductions and engineering changes while ensuring supplier readiness and quality controls are established.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Supplier Quality programs and supplier development.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements, internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
  • Internal Auditor certification or training.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with document control, process mapping, and procedure development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills utilizing 8D, A3, 5 Why, Fishbone, or similar methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, GD&T, and inspection requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification.
  • Welding inspection experience.
  • AWS/CWI Certification.
  • Experience with SPC, MSA, capability studies, and statistical quality tools.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85,000.00 - $90,000.00/yr.
