- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
- Develops inspection methods (Inspection Checklist and Acceptance Test Procedures) to ensure product quality.
- Balloons engineering drawings.
- Create AS9100 First Article Inspection Report templates.
- Reviews engineering models/drawings and production routing instructions to ensure conformity and accuracy in the production process.
- Works together with Design Engineering, Production, and other departments to improve product quality and manufacturability.
- Drive product nonconformance issues to closure via a zero-defect mindset and attitude.
- Support the nonconforming material process by reviewing and analyzing defect data to identify trends and offer improvement strategies.
- Willingness to learn automated inspection methods (Vision, CMM).
- Ensures products adhere to company and industry quality standards.
- Assists in evaluating defects generated in house and from customer returns; assists in generating rework methodology.
- Affords assistance to other Quality Engineers with Corrective Action initiatives for the prevention of future defects.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Associate or bachelor's degree in an Engineering field (Manufacturing Technology) preferred.
Zero (0) to One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in quality inspection preferred.
Ability to create and analyze models and drawings using Solidworks.
Capable of reading and interpreting complex drawings and blueprints.
Basic knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance).
Basic knowledge of standard inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc.).
Ability to learn production sequences and the company's quality standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills - English language required.
Ability to work efficiently independently or in a team environment.
Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift 50 lbs.
Ability to pass yearly vision tests for color and acuity, if required.
