Essential Functions
- Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.
- Work with the M.E. and Operations to Plan and execute quality control/quality assurance activities for manufacturing processes and products.
- Support defining critical characteristics and develop in-process inspection methods for manufactured components.
- Collect, analyze, and report quality data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement within manufacturing operations.
- Partner regularly with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to align priorities and implement improvement initiatives; track and maintain departmental performance metrics.
- Support the Engineering Change Process (ECP) to ensure timely awareness and implementation of design changes.
- Aid in the implementation of Temporary Deviation (TDs) as required.
- Execute quality workflows within the DDI (NIP) process and related systems.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (RCCA/CAPA), DMAICs, and Kaizens for product and process quality issues using established corrective action procedures and 6 sigma methodology.
- Coordinate with Engineering to support First Article Inspections (FAIs) for internally manufactured parts.
- Contribute to Quality deliverables within the Stage-Gate/new product introduction process.
- Train and guide personnel on corrective action processes and applicable quality tools and techniques.
- Recommend and drive manufacturing quality improvements, including process controls and inspection enhancements.
- Support development and implementation of Process Control Plans (PCPs) for new and existing products.
- Perform and participate in capability studies and other statistical analyses to improve product and process quality.
- Support Quality visual management and team board metrics, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts supporting Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity objectives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or related field + 5 years previous manufacturing experience; or Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- 5 years min. of engineering experience or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the field.
- Work proactively with others through teamwork and cooperation.
- Must be able to manage time efficiently, use sound judgment, pay great attention to detail and provide excellent record keeping skills.
- Self-motivated; willing to put in extra effort and hours as needed.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities, work under the pressure of deadlines, interact and effectively communicate with all company officials, employees, vendors, customers, etc.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the workday.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
- Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.
