About the role
At Leupold and Stevens, we manufacture high-quality optics for hunters, shooters, law enforcement, and military personnel. We seek a Quality Engineer 2 to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Provide tools, training, and expertise to ensure product quality and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with teams in areas like New Product Development, Continuous Improvement, Metrology, and Supplier Quality.
- Design and train on inspection and test equipment.
- Facilitate product testing and audit processes.
- Lead problem-solving activities and monitor quality data.
- Support supplier selection and qualification activities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer.
- Preferred certifications: Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Supplier Quality Professional, Certified Quality Auditor.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, statistical fundamentals, measurement systems analysis, SPC, reliability analysis, and use of analytical and productivity software.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with standard and geometric dimension and tolerance.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SolidWorks.
Skills
- Excel, MiniTab, Northwest Analytics, QC Cal.
- Use of analytical and productivity software.

Pay
Typical Base Salary Range: $80,000 to $95,000 (DOE)
