Quality Director

About the role

This position leads the quality assurance and quality management programs for the Company as part of the site senior team, working closely and collaboratively with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Primary leader for the company’s quality management systems, ensuring all processes deliver outstanding quality in products and services.
• Reviews and responds to quality and customer concerns.
• Improves departmental and company efficiencies and processes.
• Develops and reports KPIs for internal and external Quality metrics.
• Proactively analyzes data to identify root causes and areas for improvement.
• Works closely with other departments, customers, and suppliers to manage and resolve quality issues.
• Collaborates with management staff to develop, initiate, and monitor strategic initiatives throughout the organization.
• Approves and manages external providers.
• Manages and trains quality staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated work experience in Quality management in a manufacturing environment, preferably with defense and aerospace products.
• Demonstrated supervisory and management experience.
• Experience with leading ISO quality management certifications, preferably AS9100 and NADCAP certifications.

Skills

• Reading and interpreting technical documents.
• Organizational skills, including the ability to efficiently evaluate, prioritize, and handle multiple and changing projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Travel

Occasional travel is required for this position, including potential out-of-state and international assignments.
