Quality Data Analyst

About the role

The Quality Data Analyst supports the identification of warranty issues from the field and clearly defines problems. They research warranty data, document findings, and communicate with support teams to ensure effective containment and permanent corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze warranty claim data to identify trends, emerging issues, and focus areas.
• Fast-track parts to appropriate locations to provide samples or examples of conditions under investigation.
• Research issues using available tools and create documentation (Transmittals/GIMs) that clearly describe vehicle issues experienced by customers.
• Provide additional information to assigned individuals to aid in issue resolution.
• Maintain Transmittal updates based on input from Engineers and ensure all criteria are met for closure.
• Chart data to define issues and demonstrate team progress.
• Participate in processes consistent with issue resolution management and closure.
• Achieve established KPIs.
• Communicate with dealers to better understand vehicle issues and repair actions.
• Represent the "Voice of the Customer" to platform teams.
• Interface with Quality and Engineering teams through ad-hoc analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical degree.
• 1+ years of experience working as an analyst or in a related field.
• Strong oral, written, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to translate technical data into executive summaries for easy understanding.
• Knowledge of advanced problem-solving skills and data analysis to identify root causes.
• Familiarity with cost studies and strategic planning.
• Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to work off-shift hours and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering or a similar technical field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience, with Powertrain Manufacturing experience a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in program management or multi-tasking environments.
