About the role
The Data Engineering team is a collaborative, fun, and dynamic group focused on innovating and improving processes to deliver quality data to end users. This role emphasizes data engineering quality assurance, including validation of data pipelines, structured testing of data transformations, establishing data quality standards, and ongoing monitoring to ensure accurate and reliable analytics and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Perform data integration and maintenance of applicable databases and supporting systems.
- Independently seek additional information, knowledge, and training to deepen understanding of database systems.
- Analyze process workflows within various functional areas to identify improvements related to data reporting, extraction, and analytics.
- Design, develop, document, test, and deploy custom reports, database queries, and data exports.
- Use report-writing tools to create and deploy standard, ad-hoc, and custom reports, communications, and dashboards for internal and external recipients.
- Establish and implement processes, including automation, to streamline data extraction and produce accurate, user-friendly reports and analytics.
- Identify, analyze, research, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to provide actionable recommendations and solutions.
- Use logic and intuition to draw conclusions from data, translating insights into performance measurement, improvement, and outcomes.
- Monitor and analyze return on investment for communication activities, including events, mailings, and digital communications.
- Utilize external sources, such as social media and digital analytics, to track online engagement and marketing performance.
- Assist foundation leadership in developing and executing a data management strategy, recommending improvements for data flow, availability, and quality.
- Collaborate across the organization to understand business requirements and goals, ensuring effective and accurate reporting and analysis.
- Proactively seek improvements and monitor feedback to recommend system modifications supporting organizational needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required. In lieu of education, leadership may accept six years of applicable experience.
- Two or more years of experience in business, finance, data science, statistics, information management, analytics, fundraising, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with reporting and analytic tools is preferred.
Pay
Pay starts at $24.00 per hour and increases according to years of applicable experience, with a salary range of $24.00 – $38.50 per hour.
Schedule
- Full-time, day shifts
- 8-hour shifts
- 40 hours per week
