Quality Data Analyst

About the role

Freelance Apparel Quality Analyst position based in New York, NY for a 6–8 month assignment. Requires onsite work 2–3 days per week in the New York office, with additional in-office time as needed during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Collect, consolidate, and analyze product quality data from internal and external platforms.
• Review customer comments, product reviews, and return data to identify recurring quality concerns and opportunities.
• Build and maintain reports tracking quality metrics, vendor performance, chargebacks, and product history.
• Create clear, actionable presentations and data summaries for cross-functional partners and senior leadership.
• Collaborate with product, sourcing, production, and quality teams to improve how quality information is captured, visualized, and shared.
• Serve as a liaison between external partners, internal cross-functional teams, and leadership stakeholders.
• Support departmental operations, including budget tracking, invoicing, vendor documentation, factory approvals, and business continuity records.
• Manage administrative activities such as reviewing incoming reports, coordinating meetings, and documenting team recaps.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in apparel quality, retail operations, product analytics, or a related field.
• Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment is required.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex or unstructured data into meaningful insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting findings to leadership audiences.
• Highly organized, proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work onsite in the New York office 2–3 days per week, with additional in-office time as needed during onboarding.

Pay

$35–39/hr
