Quality Data Abstractor RHIT

The Quality Data Abstractor RHIT role is seeking a professional to support healthcare quality improvement by transforming clinical information into accurate, meaningful data insights. Key responsibilities include:

1. Collecting, reviewing, and maintaining accurate healthcare data
2. Ensuring data integrity and compliance with abstraction requirements
3. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of abstraction standards, reporting requirements, and applicable healthcare guidelines
4. Reviewing data for accuracy and identifying discrepancies

Requirements

• Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) certification or equivalent clinical experience
• Recent experience with medical record abstraction
• Strong understanding of healthcare documentation practices, clinical data review, and quality reporting processes
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage detailed information accurately
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to data accuracy
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with healthcare teams
• Commitment to confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive patient information
