Job Summary

Under general supervision, and according to general policies and procedures, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and monitoring the core measure process. You will facilitate to completion and sustainment PI projects, small working groups, and projects to improve the quality of care and value for our patients. These projects and working groups are interdisciplinary in nature. You will identify opportunities for improvement based on evidence-based practices, regulatory and accrediting agency requirements, and monitoring of high-risk, high-volume, and/or problem-prone processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare and clinical experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years current experience in quality, risk management or related clinical experience within the acute care hospitals setting required.
  • Familiarity with medical record coding and abstracting processes preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of quality data analysis and reporting methodology pertinent to quality improvement.
  • Superior understanding of core measures – concurrent review and abstraction.
  • Directly related Performance Improvement (PI) experience and knowledge of PI methodologies.
  • Superior project management skills, able to lead a project from beginning to end and sustain the gains.
  • Knowledge and prior execution of regulatory standards through the tracer methodology and other regulatory readiness tools and techniques.
  • Experience with clinical databases and data management systems such as Meditech, COMET, CHOIS etc. preferred or must have ability to be trained within 90 days.
  • Superior computer skills with in-depth knowledge, experience to operate word processing, databases, graphics, and excel spreadsheets in order to generate reports and information.
  • Superior, communication, telephone, and interpersonal skills to interact effectively and positively with people.
  • Ability to use statistics/analysis to evaluate and interpret data, summarize results and make recommendations.
  • Knowledgeable in regulatory standards and compliance.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws.

Pay & Schedule

The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. Hourly Wage Estimate: $44.25 - $61.95 / hour.
