About the role
As a Quality Coordinator, you will review and update the Construction Quality Management Plan to promote continuous improvement initiatives. You will participate in subcontractor pre-construction meetings, emphasizing quality expectations. You will also review and approve Subcontractor Quality Plans (SQPs) and Inspection & Testing Plans (ITPs).
Responsibilities
- Participate in subcontractor pre-construction meetings, emphasizing quality expectations.
- Review and approve Subcontractor Quality Plans (SQPs) and Inspection & Testing Plans (ITPs).
- Schedule and oversee inspections conducted by consultants, clients, subcontractors, and testing agencies.
- Perform onsite field inspections, compile quality reports, and capture photographic documentation.
- Ensure project requirements are met by reviewing checklists, testing reports, and photographic evidence.
- Maintain and manage quality documentation, including material receiving reports for permanent works.
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and deficiency processes to ensure corrective actions are tracked and resolved.
- Support and lead internal and external audits of the Quality Management System.
- Review and provide feedback on subcontractor documentation to ensure compliance with specifications.
Requirements
- An engineering degree/diploma and two years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- A general understanding of construction activities and working knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
- A working knowledge of quality control program requirements and techniques.
- The ability to detect site issues and work in conjunction with the site team to rectify.
- A Reliability or Secret Level Clearance through CISD (PWSGC) or eligibility.
- Familiarity with quality management principles (e.g., ISO 9001) is advantageous.
Qualifications
