Quality Control Technician - GSE
About the role
This role requires directing daily workflow, reviewing completed work orders, and inspecting Mechanics work. Assists in instructing mechanics on work procedures. Inspecting and identifying defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems and performs preventive maintenance and/or repairs. This role requires you to maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems
- Monitors storage tanks and related equipment to ensure that they are in good working order to prevent spills, releases, overfills and product contamination
- Performs routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government and industry standards
- Makes required log entries QC, maintenance and completes required documentation and performs data entry
- Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on the refueling equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or twelve (12) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must possess and maintain a valid US driver's license
- Must pass all pre-employment testing including a physical, color vision test, audio test, and drug test
- Handle fueling carts and fueling hoses which will require lifting and move up to 70lbs
- Must pass background check and obtain US Customs seal
- Must have a flexible schedule
Qualifications
- Prior experience preferred including possession of a Commercial Driver's License or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry (preferred)
