Quality Control Technician
Position Overview
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting products, materials and processes to ensure they meet company, customer and regulatory quality standards. This role performs testing, measurements, documentation and analysis to identify defects, verify compliance and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Details
- Job Title: Quality Control Technician
- Type: Full Time
- Shift: 1st Shift
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Company: Trace-A-Matic
- Location: Brookfield, Wisconsin
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of raw materials, in-process products and finished goods according to established quality standards
- Conduct dimensional, visual and functional testing using measuring and testing equipment
- Record inspection and test results accurately in quality management systems and reports
- Identify, document and communicate non-conforming products or processes
- Assist in root cause investigations and corrective action activities
- Maintain monitoring of production processes to ensure compliance with specifications and procedures
- Absorb maintenance of calibration records
- Ensure inspection equipment is properly maintained
- Review production documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Support internal and external audits as required
- Collaborate with production, engineering and management teams to resolve quality issues
- Follow all safety, environmental and company policies and procedures
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and work instructions
- Knowledge of quality inspection methods and measurement techniques
- Proficiency with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges and measuring instruments
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Experience with quality management software
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required
- Equivalent technical degrees may be considered
- 2 or more years of quality experience required
- Manufacturing or related field experience is a plus
- Epicor experience is a plus
- 1 factory experience is a plus
- No licenses or certificates required
