Quality Control Technician

The Quality Control (QC) department is critical to the growth of the business and to customer satisfaction. The Quality Control Technician works primarily in the QC department of a branch warehouse but may be temporarily reassigned to any other warehouse department as dictated by workflow and business demands. Employees in this role will assist in all disciplines (audio, video, projection, etc.) of the QC department and must have a general proficiency with basic AV equipment and computers.
Responsibilities
- Perform Quality Control (QC) procedures on returning equipment.
- Ensure all cases and equipment are presentable and in ideal working condition.
- Diagnose, log, and repair damaged items.
- Manage firmware versions for applicable devices.
- Organize and store all tested equipment.
- Correctly process missing or damaged equipment.
- Handle hard deadlines and plan workflow depending on client needs.
- Troubleshoot equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer support for clients.
- Follow direction of the department leader and managers.
- Assist other departments when necessary.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to graduation from high school or a GED.
- Experience working with professional audio visual equipment and computer equipment.
- Basic understanding of inventory software for forecasting of workload.
- Strong technical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
This job operates in a warehouse environment. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, handle objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and climb stairs. The employee must occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds.
Schedule
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are subject to change and may rotate. Needs of the business may dictate long hours and weekend work during high-demand periods.
