About the role

As a Quality Control Technician in Stuart/Port St. Lucie, Florida, you will improve customer satisfaction by resolving complaints, driving policy and process improvements, and enhancing individual performance through quality audits, reporting, and employee development. This role reports to the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing Quality and EHS documentation as needed according to the ISO framework.
  • Identify and resolve quality and process problems using tools such as 8-D, 5-Why, Pareto analysis, SPC, and capability studies.
  • Identify trends and make data-driven recommendations for process and product improvements.
  • Administer the company calibration program.
  • Assist the Tech Services Department with diagnosing and resolving quality-related issues.
  • Work alongside the warranty department to process returns, repairs, and warranty claims.
  • Support engineering, purchasing strategies, and other activities as required.
  • Assist production with quality issues.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing department and vendors to resolve and improve supplier-quality issues.
  • Work with suppliers and purchasing regarding quality concerns for purchased parts.
  • Serve as a member of the Safety Committee.
  • Maintain ISO certifications, the MRB process, and calibration program; assist in resolving quality, environmental, and health & safety issues.
  • Conduct internal audits of processes and procedures.
  • Assist the Tech Service and Sales departments in responding to quality concerns and performing technical analysis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a quality control position, preferably in an electrical or electronics manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with electronic ignition systems and components is a plus.
  • Intermediate skill in MS Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Basic understanding of statistical analysis.
  • Capable of sitting or standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing other basic physical demands of the position.
