Quality Control Technician 2 (2nd Shift)
About the role
Bring your experience to Northrop Grumman Defense Systems. We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician to support our Armament Systems site in Mesa, AZ.
Responsibilities
- Inspect purchased materials, assembled components, and final assemblies for conformity to standards, specifications, and processing requirements.
- Inspects for proper identification and dimensions using such measuring devices as micrometers, gauges, and calipers.
- Visually inspects for obvious defects or damage such as corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and pits.
- Verifies specifications using contracts, purchase orders, prints, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists.
- Makes accept/reject decisions on inspected goods.
- Maintains records of results.
- Crosstrain across quality functions.
- Perform First Article Inspections.
- Interact with DCMA and other customer representatives.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of experience as an inspector or closely related quality control position.
- Experience with purchase order, contract, specification and drawing interpretations.
- Print reading and GDT experience.
- Basic PC skills including knowledge of MS Office products.
Primary Level Salary Range
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
