Responsibilities
- Prepare, train, and enforce Standard Operations Procedures for all Quality Control activities.
- Cookordinate quality control activities with Plant Manager, Engineers, and Supervises to ensure production activities maximize product reliability and reduce rework costs.
- Responsible for the accurate filing and certification of all documents required under statutory compliance and client/customer contractual agreements.
- Investigate and establish a root cause analysis for customer issues and develop the appropriate corrective actions.
- Supervise, train, and guide workers engaged in the inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
- Notify Plant Manager of any discrepancies production personnel may have and develop the appropriate corrective actions.
- Participate in all plant inspections inclusive of management, client, and statutory compliance agencies.
- Inspection, observation, and documentation of all operations to ensure specified procedures are followed.
- Prepare, qualify, and submit all mix designs used, including self-performing and/or coordinating with outside laboratories to perform all required testing.
Requirements
- ASTM Lab Standards for Textiles – Full understanding
- Accreditations with AASHTO, CE-Marketing, and GAIISO 9001:2015 a plus
- 5 plus years of hands-on experience performing quality control in a manufacturing environment-including testing, monitoring and maintaining quality
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint
- Experience training
- Ability to communicate corrective measures effectively, and able to pass certification tests
- Able to work in various weather conditions and lift 75 pounds
- Able to communicate in both written and verbal formats of English at a professional business level
- Able to obtain knowledge of company products, policies, and procedures in timely manner
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills to include coaching and developing subordinates
- Self-motivated and ability to take initiative in continuous QA/QC improvement to include developing and implementing SOPs
Qualifications
- Must be able to coordinate or lead employees among different levels of the organization
- Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing, walking, and driving
- May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels in facilities being managed or coordinated
- Able to wear personal protective clothing for prolonged periods; Safety helmet with chinstrap, safety shoes, eye protection, hand protection and hearing protection (as required)
