About the role

EP², a Flex company, is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to lead the Quality team and drive operational excellence in our Des Moines facility. In this role, you will develop talent, improve processes, partner with cross-functional teams, and ensure products consistently exceed customer expectations. You will provide leadership for the Quality team while partnering with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure the highest standards of product quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Quality Control personnel while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Drive a quality-first mindset throughout the organization that supports customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Oversee product inspections, testing activities, and quality verification processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory specifications.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to investigate, identify, and resolve quality concerns.
  • Analyze quality metrics and data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead corrective and preventive action initiatives to improve product quality and process performance.
  • Support internal and external audits while maintaining quality documentation and records.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives that reduce defects and improve efficiency.
  • Establish and monitor quality KPIs to drive measurable results.
  • Promote a safe, collaborative, and customer-focused work environment.

Requirements

  • Experience leading quality teams in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, inspection methods, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality reporting tools.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Experience in electrical equipment, fabrication, industrial manufacturing, or custom-engineered products.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Preferred: Experience with quality audits, quality management systems, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Preferred: Professional Quality certifications such as ASQ CQE, CQA, or related credentials.
