Be the reason every product passes the test. As a Quality Control Supervisor in Van Wert, you’ll ensure every piece coming off the line meets top standards. Your attention to detail keeps production running smoothly and customers coming back. This opportunity lets you inspect products, verify quality standards, and help ensure every finished product meets customer expectations before it leaves the facility.

Pay

$28.00 – $36.00 per hour

Schedule

1st Shift (Must be willing to check in on other shifts as needed)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise Quality Operators while promoting quality, safety, and food safety culture.
  • Support certification audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance activities.
  • Participate as a member of the HACCP team and execute food safety and food defense programs.
  • Manage calibration schedules, equipment verification, metrology records, and compliance documentation.
  • Train new employees on quality procedures, best practices, and operational standards.
  • Oversee product inspections, raw material verification, testing activities, and product approvals.
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor SPC data, analyze quality trends, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain quality records, procedures, and testing methods to ensure traceability and regulatory compliance.
  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards and engineering specifications.
  • Use precision measuring equipment, document inspection results, identify nonconforming materials, and support corrective actions.
  • Help maintain quality records while promoting safe and efficient manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in plastics and/or food manufacturing.
  • Experience leading or mentoring quality teams.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, food safety programs, audits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with calibration systems, metrology, laboratory testing, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Proficiency with Excel, ERP systems, quality software, and technical reporting.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ability to work on the production floor in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Capable of conducting inspections, audits, and quality verification activities throughout the facility.
  • Able to move between production, laboratory, warehouse, and office areas as needed.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Quality, Manufacturing, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Training or certifications related to Quality Management Systems, HACCP, Metrology, or Continuous Improvement are a plus.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality standards preferred.
