About the role
Wollaston Alloys/CPP Boston is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to join a fast-paced, growing company with over 60 years of history.
Responsibilities
- Supervise QC Inspectors
- Assign and distribute work
- Develop customer confidence internally and externally by clear and expeditious response to customer queries and corrective action requests
- Build an atmosphere of competence, cooperation, and trust with customer representatives via Source Inspection and Supplier Product, Systems, and Qualification Surveys
- Take active participation in Continuous Improvement efforts, promote quality excellence, and encourage teamwork among ourselves and our customers
- Stay abreast of technological advances and innovative analytical systems that may significantly reduce or eliminate wasteful, redundant operations
- Forecast potential problem situations and suggest possible solutions
- Be proactive, innovative, and creative using judgment and decision-making in the implementation of necessary quality programs
- Responsible for adherence to all safety policies, practices, and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- 5+ years of work experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with the casting industry and related processes is desirable
- Strong NDT testing knowledge (VT, MT, PT, RT)
- Strong communication skills
- Program management skills
- Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing a plus
- Able to work independently with minimal direction
Pay
Starting at $75,000 USD/Year
