About the role
The Quality Control Manufacturing Inspector role supports the Space and Defense Group within Moog, reporting to the QA Control Manager. This position offers an onsite, 1st Shift schedule in Orrville, Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Provide floor support across multiple machining cells.
- Perform first-piece inspections and verify operator measurements.
- Conduct hands-on measurement using micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools.
- Ensure CMM machines are clean, calibrated, and running properly (CMM operation training available).
- Absorb technical questions, measurement techniques, and inspection guidelines from operators.
- Perform final inspections, including reviewing documentation, sampling measurements, and completing sign-offs.
- Document and issue non-conformances using internal quality software.
- Review batch paperwork and routers for accuracy and completeness.
- Support receiving inspection activities.
- Aid in calibration and maintenance of equipment.
- Participate in cross-functional troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred, or demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions in English.
- Demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- At least 5 years of related quality experience in a machining-related manufacturing environment.

Pay
Orrville, OH: $28.00–$36.00 hourly.
