Key Responsibilities
- Be on the Site when construction is occurring with complete authority to take any action necessary to ensure conformance with the requirements of the approved Design Documents
- Work with the subcontractors to identify each “Definable Feature of Work” (DFOW) and help facilitate the Preparatory Meetings to be held by the subcontractor for each DFOW.
- Immediately stop any portion of the Design-Build Work that does not comply with requirements of the approved Design Documents, and direct the removal, correction, or replacement of any defective Design-Build Work.
- Ensure that the subcontractors are aware of the required inspections and tests.
- Supervise inspections and tests conducted by the subcontractors.
- Responsible for obtaining daily inspection requests from subcontractors and coordinating with Jacobs or third-party inspection staff and the applicable subcontractors to schedule the inspections.
- Provide notice to the Client of planned tests and inspections via the daily 630 AM Construction Coordination Meetings.
- Ensure that third party special inspectors are utilized as required by Applicable Law.
- Ensure that all specified tests per the Specifications are performed and results reported.
- Remove any person from the Project that consistently fails or refuses to meet the requirements of the Construction Quality Management Plan.
- Work with Client Representatives with regards to the scheduling of City of LA Bureau of Engineering Inspections.
- After review and approval by engineering, verify completion of the Design-Build Work (or portions thereof) prior to requesting Substantial Completion.
- Verify completion of the entire Design-Build Work prior to requesting Final Completion.
- At the Project Site, perform maintenance and updating, as necessary of the following:
- Non-Compliance Log
- Construction Quality Issue Log
- Inspection Log (3rd Party and of LA Bureau of Engineering Inspections)
- Test Records shall be housed on Smartsheets.
- Attend all key Project meetings.
- Works with the Project Manager and General Superintendent to track and document quality during construction.
- Confirms quality activity results are documented.
- Demonstrates strong independent judgement.
- Demonstrates strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders including the Owner, the equipment/material suppliers, and the inspection teams.
- Familiarity with inspection processes, submittals, and document tracking systems in the Construction Environment (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud, e2020, Smartsheets) is a plus.
- Experience in construction project coordination.
- Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

The base salary range for this position is $142,200.00 to $222,150.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
