Quality Control Inspector TN-3rd Shift

About the role

This position reports to the Quality Control Manager and is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties. Authority is delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and layout inspection methods and procedures.
• Make gauge setups and adapt inspection equipment and fixtures as necessary.
• Perform first piece, audits, and/or 100% inspection of various in-process and/or purchased material, parts, or products.
• Communicate non-conformities with manufacturing lead personnel and supervisors.
• Perform S.P.C. as required.
• Operate in compliance with Basic Processes and Work Instructions.
• Perform any additional duties assigned that are logically and properly inherent to this position.

Requirements

• Experience with measuring devices (e.g., calipers, height gauge) is preferred.
• Microsoft Excel experience is preferred.
• Good communication and math skills desired.
• Ability to gain knowledge of products, market requirements, customer requirements, and industry.
• Ability to gain knowledge of company products.
• Comply with quality, environmental, safety, and JOST company policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

Work is generally performed in a production plant 100% of the time. While performing duties of this job, the employee will regularly stand, walk, reach, bend, twist, and occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, lift, pull, or move objects of 50 pounds or less with or without assistance.
