Responsibilities

  • Inspect product quality on the production line to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct QC tests during production runs as required, using statistical sampling procedures, and document results properly.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inspections.
  • Inspect production lines according to established quality procedures and document results properly.
  • Prepare and complete production line documentation for conformance to customer standards and GMP compliance.
  • Notify the Production Supervisor of any quality issues, resolve issues with the machine operator, and document actions properly.
  • Communicate production line issues with the next shift’s QC Inspector.
  • Perform drop tests and inspect containers rejected by the leak detector before they are ground up.
  • Ensure final product quality, seeking guidance when needed, and contribute to a safe and clean work environment.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards, and all plant policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 1 or more years of experience working with precision instruments (e.g., calipers, Magna-Mike, densimeter).
  • 1 or more years of experience in a manufacturing or continuous production environment (Preferred).
  • Basic mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and make minor machinery adjustments.
  • Basic computer skills required, including the ability to learn and operate electronic data collection systems.
  • Ability to use and maintain basic hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work safely while remaining alert to machine operations at all times.

Qualifications

  • Excellent visual acuity (corrected if necessary) for detailed product inspection.
  • Ability to stand for a maximum of 12 hours per shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work in close proximity to moving mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to work in areas where noise, heat, cold, and odor may be a factor.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay

This position has an hourly rate of $18.03 per hour.

Schedule

3rd Shift (Monday – Friday; 10:00 pm - 6:30 am with weekends per business need)
