Quality Inspector - 3rd Shift

About the role

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a skilled inspector for its Advanced Structures team. This role involves inspecting various aircraft components and performing detailed measurements using precision tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspection of machined parts, aircraft components, and assemblies for workmanship, dimensional accuracy, and interchangeability.
• Operation of magnetic and penetrant testing equipment.
• Performing functional and operational checks on major components, assemblies, and installations.
• Investigating and determining dispositions on returned materials, detail parts, and assemblies for FAA repairs.
• Inspecting, calibrating, repairing, adjusting, and certifying precision measuring instruments to required standards.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience performing manufacturing or product inspections using blueprints and specifications.
• Experience with precision measurement tools like micrometers and calipers.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.
• The ability to set up and align optical instruments and perform periodic inspections on major tools and master gages.
• The ability to use computer systems for data input and retrieval.
• The ability to use laser trackers, portable CMM, CMM, photogrammetry, and other applicable technologies.
• The ability to review documents and identify and resolve errors or missing information.
• The ability to use operating software including SAP2+ years in an Aerospace or similar inspection role.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $27/hr USD - $31/hr USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

Schedule

3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday 11:30P – 6:30A
