About the role

Silvus Technologies is seeking a Quality Control Inspector II who will report to the Quality Control Inspection Supervisor on the OQC team. The primary responsibilities include conducting thorough inspections, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring proper procedures are followed for incoming electronic and mechanical parts and during the manufacturing and testing process. This role is also responsible for investigating any quality issues, anomalies, or failures and working alongside engineering and suppliers to recommend necessary changes or improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document inspections of products and processes, including electronic cables, GPS devices, Wi-Fi dongles, connectors, mechanical enclosures, shields, and other critical components.
  • Conduct inspections tied to receiving raw materials, parts, components, and fit checks as necessary.
  • Ability to inspect First Article components and subassemblies.
  • Prepare in-process inspection reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain Quality documentation.
  • Identify the serviceability of parts and components and appropriate tooling.
  • Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of electronic part inspection experience.
  • Proficient experience utilizing inspection tools (i.e., multi-meters, calipers, micrometers, microscopes).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in reading basic schematics, specifically those related to PCBs and PWAs.
  • Utilize Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and various communication systems effectively.
  • Identify and escalate potential issues.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records and documentation.
  • Excellent organizational skills, highly attentive to details, and capable of handling numerous tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent and effective oral and written communication.

Qualifications

  • NOTE - Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
  • All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • IPC-J-STD 610, 620 or 001.
  • Ability to recognize the importance of processes and procedures and follow accordingly.
  • Ability to remain flexible and responsive in a fast-paced environment with shifting demands.
  • Effectively evaluate workload and manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Proactively recognize challenges or risks and communicate them to the appropriate stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.

Compensation

$26.40 - $27.50 / hourly. This salary range is NOT guaranteed. It is based on market research and peer data and will vary depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
