Job Responsibilities
- Acts as the owner agent and makes technical decisions on behalf of Enterprise Products
- Reviews work performed by construction companies and approves on behalf of Enterprise Products
- Civil Structural work for cable trays and conduits
- I&E work
- Instrument Installation
- Supports the preparation and utilization of specifications, details, maintenance procedures and documentation improvements for pipeline and related facilities
- Supports the preparation of job plans, construction scope of work, and Request For Proposal providing technical guidance on construction details
- Field verify existing I&E drawings and creates redlines for as-built purposes
- Supports the following control engineering efforts:
- Construction supervision of project work
- Inspection of project work
- Supervise cutover activities
- Act in the Inspection role during commissioning
- Track engineered drawing redlines during construction, cutover, and commissioning
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years work history as an Electrician or Instrument Technician. Preferably a minimum of 5 years in construction supervision with an I&E construction company.
- Aptitude to review and field verify I&E drawings a must.
- Experience as an I&E Designer a plus.
- Working knowledge of the various PHSMA, OSHA and industry standards as it relates to control engineering.
- Demonstrated expert knowledge in the following Industry Standards:
- NFPA 70 – National Electrical Code
- NEC Article 250 – Grounding and Bonding
- NEC Article 392 – Cable Trays
- API RP 500 - Recommended Practice for Classification of Locations for Electrical Installations at Petroleum Facilities Classified as Class 1, Division 1 and Division 2
- API RP 540 – Electrical Installations in Petroleum Processing Plants
- NFPA 496 – Standard for Purged and Pressurized Enclosures for Electrical Equipment
- NFPA 497 - Recommended Practice for the Classification of Flammable Liquids, Gases, or Vapors, and of Hazardous (Classified) Locations for Electrical Installations in Chemical Process Areas
- NFPA 70E – Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace
