WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Perform diversified granite rock or bench inspections on a variety of standard or custom aerospace parts, products, assemblies, or raw materials that are being used in manufacturing products.
- Uses a variety of precision measuring instruments, including electronic devices.
- Read and interpret aerospace drawings, specifications and customer documents.
- Inspect product to verify correct color, finish, dimensions, hardness, density or other measurable or observable characteristics of material.
- Perform detailed first article inspections following the installation of full assembly.
- Recommend, write or modify sampling and inspections procedures.
- Use statistical tools to chart variance.
- Work with internal inspectors and operations personnel to ensure product manufactured meet customer requirements.
- Support cross-functional teams in the execution and reporting of quality improvement projects with a focus on overall process improvements, scrap reduction and supplier quality improvement.
AUTHORITIES:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Three or more years of relevant industry.
- Able to interpret aerospace blueprints and GD&T blueprints.
- Able to read and comprehend work documentation in the English.
- Proficient in PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite applications).
- Familiar with first Piece inspection, GD & T, Operating a CMM and mechanical inspection/surface plate layout.
- Self-motivated individual that needs minimal supervision to be successful.
- Knowledge of AS9100 Audit Process.
- Knowledge of operating a CMM and mechanical inspection/surface plate layout.
