Quality Control Inspector (Final Inspection) Entry Level - 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shits

Location: San Diego, CA • Duration: 12 months • Hours: 40/week • Pay rate: $20–25/hr • Shifts: 10:00 PM–5:00 AM, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM, 1:30 PM–10:00 PM • Employment type: W2 contract (US citizens, GC holders, GC EAD, OPT, EAD, or CPT only)

About the role

Responsible for the efficient and effective performance of testing in conformance with regulations and standards. Works within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods at the Final Inspection Area, adhering to quality guidelines and complying with all applicable regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections as per inspection procedures
• Analyze inspection results and determine final disposition of product
• Detect nonconforming conditions and identify basic non-compliance within regulations and standards
• Maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications as needed

Requirements

• Product inspection experience
• Detail-oriented
• One to two years’ experience is desirable
• Proven ability to correctly interpret drawings and geometric dimensions and tolerances
• Experience using standard measuring equipment (calipers, RAM optic, micrometers, pin gauges, gage blocks, etc.) is a plus
• Previous experience participating in continuous improvement activities
• Demonstrated understanding in the use of calibrated equipment and ability to follow equipment maintenance and repair procedures
