Quality Control Inspector - Entry level with 2 years Experience

Location: Covington, GA • 12-month contract • 40 hours/week • 1st shift

Pay

$20–30/hour

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on a wide variety of products in accordance with internal procedures and Product Specifications.
• Report non-conformances to Supervisor and discuss corrective action; follow up to verify effectiveness.
• Determine product acceptability or rejection; initiate rejection notices and maintain accurate written records of inspections and results.
• Recognize conditions outside specific inspection areas that require action and refer items to the supervisor.
• Monitor compliance with G.M.P. in employee working areas and report infractions to Q.C. Lead or Manager for corrective action.
• Evaluate both product and process, making decisions on subjective visual inspections.
• Impact product quality, productivity, and costs through rework, scrap, and product warranty.
• Perform other duties as applicable or assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to two (1–2) years of related Quality Control experience or equivalent.
• Must have at least 2 years of quality experience.
• Demonstrated human relations and communication skills.
• Ability to withstand repetitive motion and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to read and comprehend English.
• Six (6) months of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
