Quality/Control Inspector - CBA - T-6 COMBS (Sheppard AFB)

Responsibilities

• Monitor, observe and evaluate supply functions in the T-6 COMBS warehouse.
• Functions as the Training Instructor and Safety Monitor for assigned personnel.
• Reviews all technical documentation applicable to T-6 COMBA as necessary to eliminate possible errors.

Essential Functions

• Maintaining compliance with procedures.
• Ensuring safety and handling hazardous materials.
• Communicating effectively with coworkers, clients, and the public.
• Preparing discrepancy reports and recommending actions.
• Training new personnel and maintaining training records.
• Maintaining tool calibration and assisting with GSB maintenance.
• Setting up and maintaining the Technical Library.
• Performing QEC installation inspections.
• Cleaning of warehouse, shops, offices, and restrooms as required.
• Completing clerical and other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with FAR's relating to aircraft components, parts, hardware, equipment, and Airworthiness Standards.
• Thorough knowledge of warehouse shipping and receiving procedures.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to communicate courteously with customers.
• Proficiency in using various inspection aids.
• Military or Commercial aviation maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of U.S. Government regulations for federal contractors and FAA Maintenance programs; and aircraft maintenance terminology.
• A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
• A minimum of five years’ recent experience in aircraft maintenance.
• Documented proof of aircraft mechanic experience.
