Job Duties
- Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions, and examining functionality, as well as electrical testing as required.
- Checking that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complies with legal requirements.
- Reviewing blueprints, electrical schematics, and specifications to compare to produced goods and generating an inspection report to document all deviations.
- Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes, and inputting data into a quality database.
- Aid in training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence.
- Propose improvements to the production process.
- Maintain monitoring of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet requirements.
- Update job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training.
- Keep measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
- Comprehend and operate basic electrical measuring equipment.
- Collect and compile statistical quality data.
- Assist in the development of test methods and inspection plans.
- Determine the causes of product defects and reworks.
- Verify all equipment is calibrated correctly.
- Understand the functionality of basic electrical components for use in industrial electrical cabinets/panels.
- Coordinate and support customers during the FAT process.
Requirements
- Two plus years of experience with electrical inspection and testing preferred.
- Experience in an ISO environment preferred.
- Experience in Lean/Six sigma preferred.
- Associates degree required.
- One year of experience with electrical inspection and testing required, in electrical switchgear products and relay panels.
- Good written and verbal communication skills required.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills required.
- Critical attention to detail required.
- Basic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specifications required.
- Ability to use measuring devices such as gauges, meters, calipers, and computers required.
- In-depth understanding of company standards required.
- Up-to-date knowledge of federal and industry standards, UL codes, and best practices required.
- Understanding of target market and consumer needs required.
- Blueprint and electrical schematic reading capabilities required.
- Documentation and reporting skills required.
- Teamwork and collaboration required.

- Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required.
- Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required.
