Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production process to ensure adherence to company and industry quality standards
- Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications
- Recommend, develop, and implement improvements to production processes to enhance product quality
- Collaborate with production team members to foster a strong understanding of quality control standards and expectations
- Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records
- Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence
- Supervise the production process to ensure that all products meet quality expectations
- Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly
- Communicate with Quality Control Manager about current inspection results and coordinate to determine corrective action plans when necessary
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a quality control role within a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to calculate dimensions and tolerances with high accuracy
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong ability to identify inconsistencies and defects
- Excellent knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
- Working knowledge of the tools, equipment, and procedures used in quality control inspections
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey quality control principles to team members
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, to meet department and company objectives
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with database management
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions based on data
- A degree in a related field is preferred but not required
Pay
$65,000 - $75,000 per year
