About the role
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for implementing quality control systems designed to ensure products meet applicable industry quality standards. Key functions include inspections throughout the production cycle, generating nonconformance reports, investigating customer issues, and providing technical feedback to improve processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections throughout the production cycle, including receiving, in-process, and final inspection, before shipment.
- Verify conformance to engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, and applicable UL standards.
- Generate nonconformance reports, gather evidence, and support MRB disposition activities.
- Investigate and support resolution of customer issues and complaints relating to product quality or workmanship.
- Develop basic statistical tracking of recurring QC issues and contribute to process improvements that reduce defects and rework.
- Provide technical feedback to production, engineering, and test teams to prevent quality escapes.
- Cook up and support workflow, schedule, and maximize product reliability.
- Perform final QC verification on all products and equipment entering and leaving the plant.
- Apply regulatory and compliance labels according to UL and internal requirements.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in engineering, science, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or production environments.
- Experience in electrical assembly, switchgear, panel fabrication, or industrial equipment is preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, UL standards, and basic quality tools is desirable.
Qualifications
- Sitting – 10% Walking/Standing – 90%
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to bend, squat, climb, and access tight spaces inside enclosures and assemblies.
- Visual ability to read fine prints, drawings, labels, and inspect small components.

The hourly pay range for this position is $35.58 – $47.11.
